Section's Tasks :

1. Catalog and classify books according to the Dewey Decimal Classification System.

2. Arrange books on shelves according to their sections and according to the Dewey Decimal Classification system used in the library.

3. Loan books to undergraduate and graduate students.

4. Loan new periodicals arriving at the library to users.

5. Loan theses and dissertations from the library for delivery to users.

6. Prepare annual and periodic statistics on books, periodicals, and references.

7. Conduct annual inventory of books and references.

8. Hold training courses for the college's departmental libraries.

9. Return borrowed books according to their locations on the shelves.
