Women's Affairs Unit
Dr. Intisar Nadhim Shallal The Women's Affairs Unit at the colleges aims to empower women academically and socially and enhance their role within the university community by providing various support, programs, and activities. The unit seeks to achieve gender equality and combat all forms of discrimination against women. Unit's Tasks : Organizing Programs and Events : Preparing and organizing training courses, workshops, seminars, and conferences that address women's issues and empowerment in various fields. Supporting Female Researchers : Providing support to young female researchers conducting outstanding research and honoring creative and distinguished women in their fields of expertise. Combating Violence Against Women : Raising awareness of the dangers of violence against women through educational seminars and awareness campaigns. Providing Psychological and Social Support : Providing psychological and social support to women at the college, whether students, employees, or faculty members. Following Up on the Implementation of Decisions and Instructions : Monitoring the implementation of decisions and instructions related to women's affairs issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and the university. Conducting research and studies : Conducting research and studies on women's issues and needs in the university environment. Raising awareness : Raising awareness about women's rights and the importance of empowering them in society.
