Awareness Workshop on the Dangers of Drugs and Addiction at the College of Applied Sciences – Hit
As part of the Third National Plan for Women, Peace, and Security — implemented by the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Applied Sciences – Hit for the second semester of the current academic year — an awareness workshop entitled:
"The Dangers of Drugs, Addiction, and Student Awareness on Prevention and Treatment Methods"
was held this afternoon, Tuesday, April 8, 2025.
The workshop was organized by Dr. Intisar Nadhim Shallal, Head of the Women’s Affairs Unit, and was presented by Prof. Dr. Rasem Faraj Muslim, Dean of the College, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Manaf Abdulrahman Jumaa, Head of the Environmental Sciences Department. The event was attended by a group of faculty members, employees, and students.
The workshop aimed to raise awareness among students and youth about the serious risks of drug use and addiction, highlighting their harmful effects on individuals and society, while discussing effective prevention and treatment strategies.
