The Women's Affairs Unit at the College, in the presence of the Dean of the College, organized an awareness workshop entitled "UN Resolution 1325 and the Role of Women in Peace and Security, From Resolution to Implementation" on Thursday, May 22, 2025. The workshop was attended by the Assistant Dean for Academic and Student Affairs (Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Qasim Taha) and the Head of the Legal Division at the College (Assistant Lecturer Ayman Hammad Muhaisen). The workshop included an explanation of the importance of UN Resolution 1325 in the field of women, peace, and security, the ways in which women can participate in peace processes and decision-making, and the protection of women and girls from violence and conflict. This workshop is part of the Third National Plan (Security and Peace, Pillar of Protection and Prevention, Paragraph 6), which aims to empower women to reach leadership positions, promote gender equality, document violations, and hold perpetrators accountable. This resolution calls for the involvement of women as key actors in peacebuilding.
