Joint Cooperation Visit
On Tuesday, September 9, 2025, a team from the Environment Department, headed by the Head of the Environment Department (Assistant Professor Dr. Manaf Abdul Rahman Juma), visited the Desert Studies Center at the University of Anbar Presidency. This visit aims to enhance cooperation between the university's researchers in research centers and the Environment Department at the College of Applied Sciences in Heet. This cooperation includes joint research with the aforementioned center, as well as the supervision of undergraduate and graduate students in the field of environmental pollution, combating desertification, and the study of desert plants in western Iraq. Dr. Sayed, Director of the Center (Prof. Dr. Nihad Muhammad Abboud), as well as the department heads and other colleagues at the center, welcomed the visiting team and expressed their desire to cooperate. Within the center, the team toured the Desert Herbal Museum, which houses a diverse collection of desert plants, as well as the Desert Animal Museum, which contains rare taxidermied desert animal species that represent the environment of western Iraq.
