A Scientific Trip for Fourth-Year Applied Chemistry Students to the Central Water Testing Laboratory at the Anbar Water Directorate

As part of its efforts to enhance practical application and bridge the gap between academic study and real-world practice, the College of Applied Sciences – Hit organized a scientific trip for fourth-year students in the Applied Chemistry Department to the Central Water Testing Laboratory at the Anbar Water Directorate. The visit aimed to familiarize students with water testing and analysis techniques, and to introduce them to the equipment and technologies used in assessing water quality according to established scientific standards. This, in turn, contributed to developing their practical skills and enhancing their scientific expertise.

The visit also included a field observation of the practical application of water pollution treatment and quality measurement, a component of the Environmental Chemistry curriculum for fourth-year Applied Chemistry students. Students observed the practical procedures used in analyzing pollutants and assessing water quality, which helped connect theoretical concepts with practical applications and strengthened the learning outcomes.
