The College of Applied Sciences – Hit Participates in a Dialogue Session on " Women and Access to Social Care and Protection"

 

As part of the project to strengthen community resilience to prevent violent extremism in Anbar, and under the supervision of the Baghdad Women's Association, the Women's Affairs Unit at the College of Applied Sciences – Hit participated on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, in a dialogue session entitled "Women and Access to Social Care and Protection," held in the Uth HUB hall. The college was represented at the session by Dr. Intisar Nadhim Shallal, a lecturer in the Department of Environment, who presented a lecture entitled "Women and Access to Social Care" In her lecture, she addressed the importance of women's participation, mechanisms to enhance their access to social care and protection services, and the role of academic institutions in supporting women's issues and building a safe society .

This initiative aims to empower women and enhance their active participation in society, and to support efforts to prevent violent extremism by building women's capacities and assisting them in accessing social protection and essential services .
