Environmental Science Department Students Visit Anbar Environment Directorate

 

The Environmental Science Department at the College of Applied Sciences – Hit organized a scientific visit to the Anbar Environment Directorate on Thursday, December 18, 2025, to enhance the practical application of their studies and connect academic learning with real-world applications. The visit included a detailed explanation of the Anbar Environment Directorate's operations and its regulatory role in monitoring and overseeing various environmental activities, as well as the mechanisms for implementing environmental laws and regulations to reduce pollution and protect the environment and public health. Environmental science students also toured the laboratories, where they learned about the environmental analyses conducted, particularly water analyses, and the importance of these tests in monitoring water quality and ensuring its safety. The visit highlighted the role of the modern laboratory equipment recently provided to the directorate, emphasizing its impact on improving the accuracy of results and increasing the efficiency of laboratory work .

At the end of the visit, the students and accompanying teachers expressed their thanks and appreciation to the administration and staff of the Anbar Environment Directorate for the warm welcome and cooperation, stressing the importance of such scientific visits in developing the students’ practical experience and supporting their scientific and academic journey .
