The College of Applied Sciences – Hit Council Holds its Third Open Session (Part Two) for the 2025-2026 Academic Year
The College of Applied Sciences – Hit Council held its third regular open session (Part Two) for the 2025-2026 academic year on Thursday, January 22, 2025. The session was chaired by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Rasim Faraj Muslim, and attended by the council members. The session included presentations by :
Dr. Mustafa Mahmoud Yaqoub, Faculty Representative
Mr. Mohammed Nawar Hussein, Head of the Registration and Student Affairs Division. During the session, the council discussed several important topics on the agenda, most notably :
- Approval of undergraduate and graduate student results .
- Discussion of the publication of scientific research .
- Review of the plan to hold the Second International Conference on Environment and Sustainable Development .
- Discussion of student discipline in the dormitories .
- Analysis of the performance evaluation results for faculty and staff .
Regarding the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the President of Anbar University emphasized the importance of supporting scientific research by faculty and researchers and aligning this research with the SDGs. He stressed the need for collaboration with the university's SDG committees . Furthermore, within the framework of research teams, the President reiterated his previous directives on the importance of forming research teams in the colleges and the necessity of including researchers from reputable universities and specialists known for their scientific expertise and publications in international journals. This, he noted, would contribute to advancing scientific research and achieving international rankings .
