The College of Applied Sciences – Hit Celebrates the 38th University Day

 

The College of Applied Sciences – Hit celebrated its 38th University Day on Monday, December 29, 2025, with a special ceremony in an academic and cultural atmosphere that reflected a spirit of creativity and institutional belonging . The celebration included art exhibitions and bazaars organized by the college's students, as well as a variety of artistic and scientific activities and educational workshops that showcased the students' scientific and artistic talents .

The Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Rasim Faraj Muslim, honored several faculty members in recognition of their efforts and excellence. These included :

  • Professor Dr. Bassam Al-Din Diaa Al-Din Al-Khatib, the top professor in the college .
  • Assistant Professor Dr. Marwan Mahmoud Saleh, from the Department of Medical Physics, who received a letter of appreciation from the University President for being among the university's top researchers, publishing in prestigious scientific journals .
  • Mr. Hassan Hadi Mahmoud, for receiving a letter of thanks and appreciation from the University President for being selected as the most distinguished employee .
  • Student Hiba Khamees, for receiving a letter of thanks and appreciation from the University President for her outstanding participation in the success of the Women's Day and University Day festival .

This celebration affirms the college's commitment to supporting scientific creativity and professional excellence, and to enhancing the role of students and staff in the university's academic journey .
